The deal, in plain words.
These terms cover your account, acceptable use, your domain, billing, and what happens to your data if you leave.

Agreement
By using InboxFamily, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Anti-Spam Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What InboxFamily is
InboxFamily gives your family email addresses on your own domain. One plan includes up to 6 mailboxes, one domain, up to 10 aliases, a catch-all address, spam filtering, and 5 GB of storage per mailbox. We handle the technical setup so you don't have to.
Your account
You sign in without a password, using a passkey or a one-time email link. Keep your sign-in method secure — anyone who can sign in as an admin can manage your mailboxes.
Admins manage the family: they create and delete mailboxes and can give other people access. You are responsible for what happens on your account and for the people you create mailboxes for.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use InboxFamily to send spam or unsolicited bulk email, to phish or spread malware, or for anything illegal or abusive.
Fair-use sending limits apply to protect your domain's reputation and everyone else on the server — the details are in our Anti-Spam Policy. Sending unsolicited bulk email can lead to immediate account termination.
If we detect abuse, we may warn you, suspend sending, or terminate the account, depending on severity, as described in our Anti-Spam Policy.
Your domain
Your domain is registered in your name — it's yours. The cost of the domain is separate from your subscription (most extensions are a few dollars to about $15 per year) and renews automatically using your payment method.
If you leave InboxFamily, you keep your domain. You can transfer it to another provider or let it expire.
Plans and billing
InboxFamily is $19 per month, or you can pay yearly and save. Payments are handled securely by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
Your domain's registration fee is billed separately, on its own yearly cycle. If we change our prices, we'll let you know in advance.
Cancellation and your data
You can cancel anytime. Here's what happens to your email:
- Your service keeps working until the end of your paid period.
- After that, your account is suspended — your mailboxes can still receive and download mail, but can't send.
- About 30 days later, your mailboxes are switched off.
- Around 30 days after that, your email is permanently deleted.
You can export your email at any time while your account is active or suspended — it's standard IMAP, so any email app can download a full copy. We don't give refunds for partial periods, and there's no refund when an account is terminated for abuse.
Service availability
We work to keep InboxFamily running reliably and publish live status at inboxfamily.com/status. Occasionally we perform maintenance or experience incidents. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Your content
Your email and the mailboxes you create are yours. You're responsible for your content and for using the service lawfully. We don't claim ownership of your email.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account for abuse, non-payment, or where required by law. Where it's reasonable to do so, we'll give you notice and a chance to put things right.
Disclaimers and liability
We provide InboxFamily with care, but without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the issue. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll notify account admins. Continuing to use InboxFamily means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of the place where InboxFamily operates. This doesn't take away any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
