# Pricing: InboxFamily

Family email on a domain the family owns. One plan, one price, no tiers.

## The plan

- **Price:** $19.00 USD per month, for the whole family.
- **Billing:** monthly, by card, through Stripe. Tax is included in the $19.
- **Contract:** none. Cancel any time, no fee.
- **Refund:** ask us, or ask Stripe through the link on your receipt. Stripe
  can refund a payment up to 60 days after it was taken. The first year of the
  domain is not refundable: it is registered in your name the day you pay and it
  stays yours.

## What the $19 includes

- **6 mailboxes**, 5 GB each.
- **10 aliases**, plus a catch-all address that receives anything sent to
  @yourdomain.
- **Webmail** at webmail.inboxfamily.com, in any browser, nothing to install.
- **Any mail app**: IMAP on port 993 and SMTP on port 465, both TLS. Apple
  Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird and most others configure themselves.
- **SPF, DKIM and DMARC**, set up and kept correct for you.
- **Spam filtering**, on by default.
- **Nightly encrypted backups** of the mail.
- **No ads, and no scanning of your mail for marketing.**

## The domain

- **Charged once, at signup.** $15 for a .com. Thirteen endings are on
  sale, priced from $8 to $43, and the exact price is shown before you pay.
- **Renewals are included** for as long as you stay a customer. There is no
  second subscription for the domain.
- **You own it.** If you leave, the domain leaves with you.
- **Already own a domain?** Bring it, and pay for the mailboxes only. Either
  hand over an API key for a DNS provider we support and the records are
  written and maintained for you, or paste a handful of records yourself while
  the panel checks them live.

## What it is not

- Not a business suite. No shared drive, no calendar, no document editing.
- Not a free tier. There is no free plan and no trial; the refund window is
  the trial.
- Not per-seat. Six mailboxes cost the same as one.

Google Workspace prices per seat and changes those prices by region and by
year, so the comparison above says how the two are priced rather than quoting
a figure that would be stale by the time you read it.
